Already Marketing On The Internet?

By Christian Mina A

Think a bit about how you would actually answer this question. Given enough thought, almost any business owner who uses the Web for any purpose will probably realize that, even without any specifically designed Internet marketing campaign, they may already be marketing their products/services on the Internet.

Here I will analyze some subtle ways marketers normally use.

Does your business have a website?

If you answered this question with yes, you are already marketing your products/services online, only by virtue of having a website. Having a live website means that, potentially, curious Web users can access your website. You may not be actually advertising your website, but you may still discover that your website sparks interest in your products, despite the lack of advertising undertakings. This is just one of the forms of the passive marketing.

Do you take part in message boards, forums, adding a link to your website in your signature?

Again if your answer is yes, you are already marketing your website online. Smart business owners understand how important is to participate in industry related message boards or forums to excite the customers interest in their products/services, to prove themselves as well-informed about the industry and provide a link to their own website, even if it is in the signature line of their posts. Nevertheless, there are business owners that do not realize they may already unknowingly enjoy the benefits of Internet marketing. Forum participation means to them just do something they enjoy and may do as a leisure activity, but with good results in promoting their website.

Do you add business relevant keywords in the content of your website?

Business owners who say yes to this question are already marketing on the Internet, too. This happens by optimizing their website for these keywords. This search engine optimization (SEO) has an impact on the websites even if they were not even aware of the idea of keyword concentration and how this helps to SEO a website. Business owners will probably utilize certain words, unaware of the fact that they are keywords. Very often those words depend on the type of products and services they offer and it feels natural and sensible to use them. This attitude, however, can result in search engines pushing your website rankings for these specific keywords. The idea of SEO is much more complex than merely using keywords oftentimes. However, business owners can gain some benefit just by simply employing relevant keywords to their website.

Do you request online feedback from your customers?

Another example of how business owners may unintentionally market their business on the Internet is requesting feedback. Soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes is important and business owners who offer products online may ask for some feedback using online surveys. If this is done online, it makes it fall into the class of Internet Marketing, though the business owners may be doing this merely for a business purpose.

We have already talked about different methods business owners may already be using to perform online marketing. What about business owners who want to have an enhanced online presence? Business owners may be marketing online unintentionally, but may still wish to set in motion a full scale Web marketing campaign. The best way would be to hire an experienced Internet marketing adviser to assist them in creating an efficient campaign for their target audience.

Newsletter Writing - Nine Intriguing Methods to Get the Most Out of Your Newsletters

By Sean R Mize

Newsletters can really make wonders to your ebusiness. Right now, they are considered some of the most highly effective internet marketing tools. You can use them to reach wider market, establish your authority, and even in cross-selling or up-selling your products and services. Of course, you’ll only enjoy these amazing benefits if you write your newsletters the proper way.

Keep in mind that quality content is what makes this technique very effective. So, you need to make that conscious decision to give your readers great, informative content each time you send them your newsletters.

Here’s how you can get the most out of your newsletters:

1. Deliver hot information all the time. Here’s the truth; your recipients will surely not consider wasting their time on something that they already know so make sure that you only deliver hot information that they can actually use in their lives.

2. Use effective headlines. The problem in publishing your own newsletters is that it can be challenging to get your recipients to open your newsletters. But you can remedy this by using catchy headlines. Tell these people what’s in store for them and make sure that you include their name on the headline. This will also give them an assurance that your messages are not spam.

3. Know your readers. Determine the things that your readers are interested in. Track down the information they usually search for in the online arena. Through this, you will know ahead of time what specific topics that you can discuss to grab these people by the neck.

4. Make it scannable. Based on research and on my personal experience, online users rarely read anything word for word. These people usually scan the content to save time. Make reading easier for them by using subheadings and easy-to-read bullet points.

5. Make it easy for these people to unsubscribe. Post a link or button on each of your newsletters that your recipients can click on should they decide to stop receiving newsletter from you. Although you don’t want them to click on that button, this will give your audience a peace of mind. Without this issue bugging them, they are more likely to focus on your content.

6. Encourage your recipients to forward your newsletters to their friends and colleagues. This is another great way to reach wider market without spending additional time on your internet marketing campaign.

7. Offer high quality, useful content. Your recipients will surely not mind spending their precious time reading your newsletters if you offer them great-to-know information or those that they will find useful in either reaching their goals or solving their pressing issues.

8. It must be well-written. Give your audience great reading experience by making your newsletters flawless and by making sure that your content flow smoothly. They must not contain grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, and factual errors.

9. Write more newsletters. Just like in article marketing, you’ll be able to boost the benefits from this internet marketing tool if you produce and distribute more high quality newsletters. This will help you build ongoing communication with your client base and this will help you send a strong message to these people that you’ve got so much to share.
